MORNING BRIDAL PREP & HEARTFELT DETAILS
The day kicked off with a wonderful buzz as I joined Jess and her bridal party for the bridal prep photography. This part of the day is always incredibly close to my heart. I absolutely love getting stuck into the action and documenting all the intricate details that weave a couple's story together—the scent of the perfume, the sparkle of the jewellery, the shoes, and, of course, the stunning gown.Jess’s amazing glam team, featuring the talented hair and makeup artist Rachel Starr, kept the energy high and the bubbly flowing.Amidst the laughs and bubbly, there were also deeply moving tributes. Jess beautifully honoured her late mother by attaching a delicate photo charm to her bridal bouquet. It was a genuinely touching way to ensure her mum was right by her side, walking with her down the aisle in spirit.

The Ridgeway Golf Club wedding venue offers some of the most spectacular panoramic views in the region. Perched high on Caerphilly Mountain, it provided the ultimate backdrop for Jess and Matt’s dream outdoor wedding in South Wales. Surrounded by sweeping green fairways, rolling hills, and their closest family and friends, the couple said their vows under flawless, sunny skies.Once the registry was signed,we took advantage of the perfect weather to capture some vibrant group shots with their guests
escaping on the golf buggy for some dreamy portraits
One of the most fun highlights of the afternoon was hopping onto a golf buggy with the newlyweds! It gave Jess and Matt a well-deserved breather to step away from the crowd, soak in the reality of being husband and wife, and just enjoy each other's company.We drove out across the course to a peaceful little pond. Framed by the lush greenery of the surrounding trees, we captured some truly dreamy, romantic portraits of the couple.We also made sure to include a very special guest in their gallery—their gorgeous pooch! As a passionate animal lover, I firmly believe that our four-legged friends are just as important as family and deserve a starring role in the wedding album.

The wedding breakfast led into the speeches, and wow, did they deliver. I always keep a box of tissues nearby for this part! Listening to the history of where it all began for Jess and Matt, combined with the raw emotion on their faces as they looked back on their journey together, reminded me exactly why I love being a documentary wedding photographer.
